Projects funded by SURE go beyond just focusing on sustainable development. The collaboration between stakeholders from Asia and Germany across various projects generates knowledge in dealing with scientific and practical issues. Several cross-cutting issues have been identified as important topics for knowledge transfer and are reflected in some of the research themes of the related SURE projects.
The identified cross-cutting issues are:
- Actionable knowledge
- Implementation and transformative practices
- Dealing with uncertainties
- Participation, Co-Learning and Co-Creation
- Local and cultural context
