The FloodAdaptVN Progress Meeting, held from 23–24 June 2026 at the UN Campus in Bonn, offered two inspiring days of exchange, collaboration, and shared learning.
The meeting brought together partners from research and practice and demonstrated how essential cross-regional dialogue is for co-creating and transferring actionable knowledge. Through exchanges ranging from solution labs to regional learning perspectives, the consortium explored ways to strengthen cooperation and advance implementation-oriented approaches.
The programme covered project updates and a status overview, flood hazard modelling in cooperation with the German Chamber of Commerce, and the workshop “Understanding Future Flood Risk under Alternative Urban Development Pathways.” Further programme points included the Regional Networking Forum and discussions on the upscaling workshop in Hanoi, cooperations with other projects and funding schemes, learning across regions in Germany and Central Vietnam, capacity development, and evaluating the current dissemination plan.
The meeting facilitated insightful discussions on flood hazard modelling, collaborative approaches, and knowledge transfer practices and provided a valuable platform to align perspectives, deepen partnerships, and advance the shared goal of integrating ecosystem-based approaches into flood risk management for more adaptive and sustainable urban development in Central Vietnam.
