Urban Rural Assembly Logo

The Sino-German research project Urban-Rural Assembly (URA) published a handbook offering fresh perspectives, practical insights, and actionable recommendations for sustainable urban-rural transformation.

The URA handbook addresses the need to move beyond traditional city-countryside dualisms in planning by using innovative methods and analyses from living labs in eastern China, as well as contributions from other case studies around the world. It provides insights and guidelines for climate-friendly and socially just transformations in interconnected urban-rural regions, offering comprehensive cartographic material and practical guidance for global urban-rural planning.
